Creation of « La Mélodie d’Alice », young public show at the Opera de Lausanne

In May 2023, over 600 children aged 4 to 7 attended the premiere of « La Mélodie d’Alice », written and performed by Aurélie Brémond, Maxence Billiemaz (tenor) and Florent Lattuga (piano). See you in November for further performances, again at the Opéra de Lausanne.

« It was a great success, and the children were delighted. Our objective was achieved, as they discovered the Opera, became familiar with the musical notes and now have something to sing about as they remember our show. »

Announcement of the 2023-2024 season of Opéra de Lausanne – Two role debuts

In the 2023-2024 season, Aurélie will take on two new roles at the Opéra de Lausanne:

First, Maguelonne in Pauline Viardot’s « Cendrillon », directed by Gilles Rico and conducted by Marc Leroy-Calatayud. This show for young audiences is produced by the Opéra de Lausanne and will be performed 8 times in November 2023.

Then, in April 2024, she will perform the role of Noémie in Jules Massenet’s « Cendrillon », directed by David Hermann and conducted by Corinna Niemeyer in a production by Opéra National de Lorraine.

Mediation workshops at the Opéra de Lausanne – Here we go again!

After taking part in the Ateliers-découverte during the 2021-2022 season, Aurélie is back to sing again at the end of the 2023 season. These workshops, during which Opera professions are presented, are designed for children aged 6 to 12 and are open to the public on Wednesday afternoons.

It’s a chance for everyone to explore the Opera and discover that to make a show work, it’s not just the people you see on stage who put in the hard work!

May 2023 will also see the premiere of the children’s show « La Mélodie d’Alice », written especially for the occasion in collaboration with Maxence Billiemaz and the Opera de Lausanne teams. The show is aimed at children aged 4 to 6, and will open to the public on Wednesday May 10.

Winner of the Concours International de Mâcon « Symphonies d’Automne »

On November 13th, 2022, Aurélie had the pleasure of receiving the Prix de la Mélodie Contemporaine at the Concours de Chant de Mâcon. The melody, composed especially for the occasion by Graciane Finzi, is entitled « L’Océan sonore ».

« It was a great opportunity for me to perform this melody in front of its composer, and to get such positive, upbeat feedback. To be able to perform it again at the end of the Final of the competition was a pleasure and will remain a very nice musical memory. »

« RAMDAM » television program – RTS Culture

The main topic of this episode of the cultural program RAMDAM was…stage fright! Aurélie had the opportunity to talk about her relationship and management of stage fright and stress during the production of Donizetti’s « L’Elisir d’amore » at the Opéra de Lausanne in September 2022.

Master of Arts – Graduation ceremony

On June 26th, 2022, after five years of study at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne, Aurélie received her Master’s diploma, along with a prize in recognition of her outstanding achievements at the institution. The prize consists of the recording of a professional video with the 15prod team, which will be very useful for her early career.

« I’d like to warmly thank my singing teacher Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet, with whom I’ve learned so much over the two years of my Master’s degree, as well as all the other teachers who have contributed to my training. I’m very happy to have received this award, and I can’t wait to work with the 15prod teams again! «

Announcement of 2022-2023 season of the Opera de Lausanne – Two role debuts

During the 2022-2023 season, Aurélie will take on two roles at the Opéra de Lausanne:

The first will be Giannetta in Donizetti’s « L’Elisir d’amore », directed by Adriano Sinivia and conducted by Nir Kabaretti. The special feature of this production is that it will feature a double cast: an International cast and a Young Singers cast. Aurélie will play Giannetta in both casts, for a total of 6 performances.

Next, she will play Second maid in Loewe’s « My Fair Lady », directed by Jean Liermier and conducted by Roberto Fores Veses.

Winner of Concours International de Béziers

Aurélie won not one, but two prizes in the latest singing competition organized by the City of Béziers!

3rd Prize ex-aequo in the Operetta category (1st and 2nd prizes were not awarded), as well as the Audience Prize.

« I was delighted to receive these Awards, and I had a great time at the Concours de Béziers thanks to the organization, the jury, the beautiful theatre and the audience! And long live operetta!«

Recording a radio program on RTS – Masters sur les ondes

As part of the « Masters sur les ondes » week, RTS and the Espace 2 program were based at the HEMU (Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne), giving students the opportunity to present their programs. Aurélie performed her program « Que d’émotions….! », featuring excerpts from French operettas and comic operas. She was able to talk to journalist Anya Leveillé about her program, her choices as a performer, but also her desires and future projects.

Role debut : Despina in Mozart’s « Cosi fan tutte » – September 2021

In September 2021, Aurélie will perform the role of Despina in Mozart’s « Cosi fan tutte » at the Opéra de Lausanne and the NOF (Nouvel Opéra de Fribourg) as part of the HEMU’s summer project, in collaboration with the HEM of Geneva, the Opéra de Lausanne and the NOF.

This production will be directed by Jean-François Rivest and staged by Julien Chavaz.

« I can’t wait to be able to step into the shoes of this mischievous and very clever maid, and plot alongside Don Alfonso! This project is a golden opportunity to get a first-hand feel for the realities of being an opera artist. »
